A well-established fresh produce business is seeking a dedicated and experienced Packhouse Manager to join its dynamic management team. About the Role:

Operating from spring through autumn, the business handles and packs a substantial volume of fresh produce for distribution to major UK retailers and specialist buyers. The packhouse features a modern packing line with automated weighing, sealing, and quality control systems, with ongoing investment as the business continues to grow.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee all aspects of packhouse operations, reporting directly to senior management.
• Lead and manage a team of scale operators, end-of-line staff, cold store coordinators, and quality controllers.
• Maintain high standards of product quality and food safety.
• Manage packaging stock, orders, and technical equipment.
• Support audit preparation and ensure compliance with industry standards.
• Train, motivate, and support a large seasonal workforce during peak periods.

What We’re Looking For:

• Proven experience in a similar packhouse, line leading, production management or supervisory role.
• Strong leadership, organisational, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and adapt to seasonal demands.
• Technical confidence with packing machinery and quality systems.
• Flexibility to work extended hours, including weekends during peak season.
