Job Description - Packing Operative

Our growing manufacturing client in Derby are looking for a Packing Operative to join their team. In this role, you will be responsible for the accurate marking and packaging of sheet metal and machined components, ensuring they are properly identified, and prepared for transport and storage.

Packing Operative (late)
Permanent
£28,000 including shift allowance+ increase after probation
3pm-1am on Mondays, and 3pm-12:30am on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday

Job Description

Complete part marking and packing operations efficiently in accordance with job card instructions
Read and understand data cards and drawings to the level required for machine set up and operation
Use appropriate measuring equipment to verify that all components meet quality standards and specifications

Experience working in a manufacturing environment
Great attention to detail
Good communication skills
