Job Description - Paediatric Community Care Assistant

Community Paediatric Care Assistant Job in Plymouth

Â£16.07 to Â£19.99 per hour.

About the role

Newcross Healthcare is recruiting a Community Paediatric Care Assistant in Plymouth to support children and young people in their own homes.

Applicants must have previous experience caring for children with clinical needs. Due to a genuine occupational requirement, applicants should be female only. If you do not meet this requirement, please review our other vacancies.

Applicants must hold a full UK driving licence with access to their own vehicle

We have 2 clients in PL6

Client 1 shift pattern:
Week 1: Monday, Friday, and Sunday: 20:00 - 08:00 (Waking nights)

Week 2: Monday and Sunday: 20:00 - 08:00 (Waking nights)

Client 2 shift pattern:
Week 1: Saturday waking night: 22:00 to 08:00

Week 2: Thursday waking night: 21:30 to 07:30

We also have a 3rd client in Fowey:
Twilights - 6pm - 9pm

Your responsibilities

Provide personal care and daily living support.
Support children with their care needs.
Support safe community access and promote independence.
Ensure safety and follow detailed care plans accurately.

What you need

At least six months of paid UK care experience.
Previous experience supporting children or young people.
Confidence supporting individuals with limited mobility.
The right to work in the UK.
Good spoken and written English.
