Paediatric Occupational Therapist Specialist Practitioner

What will your responsibilities be?

In this role, you will:

• As a Band 6 Paediatric OT, you will work autonomously across a range of settings, managing a specialist caseload of children and young people with complex physical, learning and developmental needs.


• You will deliver assessments and interventions, contribute to EHCPs and MDT reviews, and provide specialist advice to families, schools and partner professionals.

Qualifications & Experience:

To be successful in this role, you must have:

• HCPC‑registered Occupational Therapist


• Degree/Diploma/MSc in Occupational Therapy


• Experience or strong interest in paediatric OT


• Knowledge of child development and developmental/physical disabilities


• Confident managing a caseload and working independently


• Strong report writing skills (EHCP experience desirable)


• Experience using standardised and non‑standardised assessments


• Ability to work collaboratively with families, schools and MDTs
