Salary: £28,000 – £32,000 per annum (depending on experience)
Location: 10 minutes from Uxbridge / ~40 minutes via public transport
Hours: Mon–Thurs 08:00–17:00, Fri 08:00–12:00 (37 hours per week)
Overtime: Paid at 1.5x basic rate
Start Date: ASAP
Type: Permanent

We’re looking for a Paint Prepper to join a global aerospace manufacturer near Uxbridge. In this role, you’ll be responsible for preparing high-precision components for painting and finishing, ensuring every part meets strict aerospace quality standards.

What you’ll be doing:

• Prepare components for painting, including masking, unmasking, and surface cleaning
  
  
• Carry out abrasive cleaning, shot blasting, and vibration deburring
  
  
• Interpret engineering drawings and work instructions to ensure correct specifications
  
  
• Inspect and quality check surfaces before and after paint application
  
  
• Operate finishing equipment safely and efficiently
  
  
• Maintain tools and equipment in good working order
  
  
• Keep the work area clean, organised, and safe at all times
  
  

What we’re looking for:

• Previous experience in a paint prepper, finishing, or similar role (automotive, aerospace, or manufacturing)
  
  
• Ability to read and follow engineering drawings
  
  
• Skilled in using basic measuring equipment and hand tools
  
  
• Strong attention to detail and manual dexterity
  
  
• Knowledge of Health & Safety, COSHH, and safe handling of materials
