THE ROLE As an Experienced Senior Multi-Skilled Paint Sprayer, you will play a key role in delivering exceptional paint finishes while supporting the wider bodyshop with preparation and finishing duties. Working as part of a highly skilled team, you'll ensure every repaired vehicle leaves the workshop with a flawless, factory-quality finish.
Key Responsibilities ·Prepare accident-damaged vehicles for paint, including sanding, masking, priming, and panel preparation. ·Mix and apply water-based and solvent-based paint systems to manufacturer specifications. ·Carry out full resprays, colour matching, blending, polishing, and SMART refinishing to the highest standards. ·Undertake minor filler work and preparation to support efficient vehicle throughput. ·Inspect completed work, ensuring every repair meets manufacturer and bodyshop quality standards. ·Work closely with Panel Technicians, MET Technicians, and Workshop Controllers to maintain workshop efficiency. ·Maintain spray booths, paint equipment, and work areas in line with Health & Safety requirements. ·Complete repairs within agreed production times while maintaining exceptional workmanship and customer satisfaction.
ABOUT YOU We're looking for an experienced, quality-focused Senior Multi-Skilled Paint Sprayer who takes pride in producing exceptional finishes and thrives in a busy, fast-paced accident repair environment.
You will ideally have: ·Previous experience as a Senior Paint Sprayer, Multi-Skilled Paint Technician, or Automotive Paint Technician within an accident repair centre or bodyshop. ·ATA, IMI, NVQ, or equivalent qualification (advantageous but not essential for experienced candidates). ·Strong knowledge of modern paint systems, colour matching, blending, and refinishing techniques. ·Experience carrying out vehicle preparation, minor filler work, polishing, and paint refinishing to the highest standards. ·Excellent attention to detail with a commitment to producing first-class finishes. ·Ability to work efficiently to production targets while maintaining exceptional quality. ·Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a professional workshop team. ·Full UK Driving Licence preferred.
