Painter and Decorator

3 Month Contract With A Local Authority

To carry out high-quality painting and decorating works across void and tenanted properties, ensuring properties are prepared and presented to a high standard. The role will involve completing a range of decorating tasks, including painting, wallpapering, and general finishing works, while maintaining excellent workmanship and professionalism.

Key Responsibilities

• Complete painting and decorating works within void properties to a high standard.
  


• Carry out wallpapering and papering tasks when required.
  


• Undertake occasional decorating works within tenanted properties.
  


• Prepare surfaces, including filling, sanding, and ensuring areas are ready for decoration.
  


• Ensure all work is completed efficiently, safely, and in line with quality standards.
  


• Maintain a clean and tidy working environment throughout all projects.
  


• Report any issues, additional requirements, or property concerns promptly.
  


• Use company-provided vehicle responsibly for work-related activities only.
  

Requirements

• Previous experience working as a Decorator/Painter and Decorator.
  


• Strong practical skills in painting, decorating, and wallpapering.
  


• Ability to work independently and manage workload effectively.
  


• Good attention to detail and commitment to delivering quality workmanship.
  


• Experience working within residential properties is desirable.
  


• Professional and respectful approach when working in both empty and occupied homes.
  


• Full UK driving licence required.

• Location: Redditch, B98 7SN
  


• Hours per week: Monday–Friday, 8:00am–4:00pm (40 hours per week)
  


• Bi-Weekly Payments: Payments made every two weeks
