Painter & Decorator – Void Properties - Redhill and surrounding areas Salary: £30,250 per annum Hours: 36 hours per week The Role A leading housing provider is looking for an experienced Painter & Decorator to join its property maintenance team, working across void properties in and around the Redhill area. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing and decorating empty residential properties to a high standard, ensuring homes are ready to be re-let to residents. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled Painter & Decorator looking for a secure, long-term position with a well-established housing provider and excellent benefits package. Key Responsibilities * Carry out painting and decorating works across void residential properties. * Prepare surfaces including filling, sanding, stripping and making good. * Apply emulsion, gloss and other appropriate paints and finishes. * Complete wallpapering and other decorative works where required. * Repair minor defects and ensure surfaces are properly prepared before decorating. * Work to a high standard of workmanship and within agreed timescales. * Complete properties to a clean, safe and lettable standard. * Liaise professionally with colleagues, supervisors and other trades. * Follow all relevant health and safety procedures. * Accurately record completed works using the company’s systems. The ideal candidate will have proven experience as a Painter & Decorator, preferably within social housing, property maintenance, voids or a similar environment. You will be: * Experienced in all aspects of painting and decorating. * Able to work independently and manage your own workload. * Quality-focused with good attention to detail. * Reliable, professional and customer-focused. * Comfortable working in empty residential properties. * Able to work efficiently while maintaining high standards. * A full UK driving licence holder.
