The Sidmouth Collection – Dukes, Kingswood Hotel & Hotel Elizabeth

We are currently recruiting for a Painter / General Maintenance Assistant to join our team across our independent family-run hospitality businesses in Sidmouth – including Dukes, The Kingswood Hotel and Hotel Elizabeth.

This role will primarily focus on painting and general maintenance tasks across the properties, helping to maintain the high standards of presentation and upkeep expected across all sites.

Working Hours

• 8:00am – 5:00pm


• 4–5 days per week


• Working days will typically include Monday - Friday, depending on operational requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Painting and decorating across hotel bedrooms, public areas and external spaces


• General building maintenance and repairs


• Changing light bulbs and basic electrical replacements


• Basic plumbing tasks and minor repairs


• Assisting with general property upkeep across all three sites


• Supporting the maintenance team with day-to-day operational tasks


• Ensuring work areas remain safe, tidy and organised


• Reporting any larger maintenance issues to management

Requirements

• Previous
  painting or general maintenance experience preferred


• Practical, hands-on approach to property maintenance


• Good level of spoken English


• Right to work in the UK with appropriate visa/status


• Ability to work across multiple sites within Sidmouth


• Reliable, organised and able to work independently
