The Role - Palantir Engineer The
Palantir Engineer position is a hands-on, delivery-focused role within multi-skilled agile teams. As a
Palantir Engineer, you will design and develop data processing and data persistence components that underpin large-scale production systems, supporting users in complex and highly regulated environments.
Working closely with Architects, Lead Engineers, and client stakeholders, the
Palantir Engineer will take ownership of significant technical components, influence design decisions, and contribute to the successful delivery of end-to-end Palantir-based solutions.
Whether operating as an experienced
Palantir Engineer or progressing toward senior technical leadership, you will play a key role in shaping both platform delivery and engineering best practice.
You'll have the opportunity to: - Deliver large-scale data processing solutions as a Palantir Engineer using modern cloud and big data technologies
- Work on complex programmes at the vanguard of Palantir technology projects
- Design and build robust data platforms that operate in demanding production environments

Key Responsibilities: - Design, build, test, and deploy data processing software across the full development lifecycle
- Develop large-scale data processing solutions using Palantir and cloud-based data platforms
- Ensure non-functional requirements such as performance, scalability, and resilience are met
- Collaborate with engineers and architects to resolve complex implementation challenges
- Maintain high standards of code quality, testability, and maintainability
- Support operational readiness by working closely with platform and operations teams
- Advise on technical complexity, delivery effort, and design implications of user stories
- Coach and mentor other Palantir Engineers within agile delivery teams
Key Requirements: - Proven experience working as a Palantir Engineer, Data Engineer, or similar role
- Strong software development skills in Python, Java, or Scala
- Experience with cloud-based data platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP, Databricks or similar)
- Strong SQL skills, including analytical SQL extensions
- Solid understanding of ETL / ELT pipelines and data engineering design patterns
- Experience delivering substantial components of large-scale data processing systems
- Knowledge of distributed data processing frameworks and data storage technologies
- Experience writing testable code and implementing automated testing
- Familiarity with CI/CD practices and modern software delivery pipelines
Desirable Experience: - Performance tuning and optimisation of data platforms
- Data visualisation and complex data transformations
- Streaming and event-driven architectures (Kafka, CDC technologies)
- Continuous improvement and contribution to data engineering best practice
