Location: Newport (3 days in-office) Job Type: Full-time Salary: up to £55,000 + 10% bonus

We are seeking a Palo Alto Firewall Specialist to join a dynamic network security team. This role is focused on Palo Alto firewall management and Panorama, with full training provided on additional network security technologies. If you are experienced in configuring, maintaining, and optimizing Palo Alto security solutions, this is a fantastic opportunity to specialize while expanding your expertise in broader network security.

Key Accountabilities:

• Configure, manage, and optimize Palo Alto firewalls and Panorama for centralized security management.
• Implement security policies to protect corporate networks, assets, and data.
• Troubleshoot firewall performance issues, security events, and policy configurations.
• Support cloud security integration, ensuring firewall compatibility with evolving infrastructure needs.
• Collaborate with cybersecurity, IT, and engineering teams to enhance overall security posture.
• Drive automation initiatives to streamline firewall and security infrastructure management.
• Assist in security incident investigations related to firewall configurations and network traffic.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Proven expertise in Palo Alto firewall management and Panorama.
• Strong understanding of network security architecture, firewall policy design, and threat prevention.
• Knowledge of routing, ACLs, intrusion prevention, and security protocols.
• Ability to troubleshoot and resolve firewall-related performance and security issues.
• Certifications such as PCNSA, PCNSE, or Palo Alto equivalent (preferred).
