Panel Wireperson – Permanent, Full Time

£30,000–£36,000 per annum DOE

Location: Norwich, Norfolk

Our client, a specialist engineering company, is seeking an experienced Panel Wireman to join their manufacturing team. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a forward-thinking business with a strong reputation for safety, innovation, and technical excellence.

Role Overview
You will be responsible for the accurate wiring and assembly of electrical control panels to meet detailed engineering drawings and specifications, working on projects ranging from 11kV through to 400kV. Working closely with engineering and testing teams, you'll help ensure projects are delivered to the highest standards of quality and compliance.

Key Responsibilities

Wiring control panels from schematic, wiring, and layout drawings
Component mounting, trunking, and DIN rail installation
Fitting relays, PLCs, protection devices, and instrumentation
Inspection and testing of panels before dispatch
Communicating with engineers to resolve technical issues
Adhering to strict health and safety procedures
Providing occasional on-site commissioning support
Requirements

Previous experience of control panel wiring or similar electrical assembly
Ability to interpret electrical schematics and wiring diagrams 
Attention to detail
Adherence to Health & Safety 
ECS Card, IPAF, PASMA or First Aid certification- desirable
NVQ Level 3 Electrical Installation or equivalent - desirable
City & Guilds Electrical qualification - desirable
