Paralegal

• Assist with legal advice on housing management and landlord/tenant disputes, including possession claims, access injunctions, and defence of disrepair claims.
  
  


• Draft legal proceedings, pleadings, witness statements, and other litigation documents.
  
  


• Support litigation solicitors and counsel in the conduct of cases and carry a caseload of pre-action housing management litigation matters.
  
  


• Provide witness support, particularly in antisocial behaviour (ASB) cases, which includes occasional out-of-hours work and home visits.
  
  


• Liaise with clients, colleagues, external solicitors, and partners, while maintaining accurate case management records.
  
  


• Assist with training officers across the organisation on housing and landlord and tenant law.
  
  

Experience

• Experience of pre-action casework or housing management litigation, particularly within housing associations or public sector organisations.
  
  


• Experience working in a legal department or solicitors' practice.
  
  


• Ability to handle highly confidential information and work as a strong team player.
  
  

Qualifications

• Law degree or equivalent qualification.
  
  

Additional Information

• Working hours: 35 hours per week (occasional out-of-hours work required).
  
  


• Work pattern: 5 days in the office initially, reducing to 4 days after 3 weeks, and reducing to 3 days after 12 weeks.
  
  


• Location: Clerkenwell, London.
  
  


• We work on a biweekly payment schedule.
