Paralegal - Personal Injury/Clinical Negligence

My client is recruiting for a Paralegal to join their Personal Injury and Clinical Negligence team in Gloucester, Gloucestershire.

This is an opportunity to support a busy litigation team, assisting with the management and progression of personal injury and clinical negligence matters. The role would suit an organised individual with previous experience in litigation who is confident dealing with clients and managing a varied workload.

The Role

• Assisting with the management of personal injury and clinical negligence matters.
• Supporting fee earners with the progression of cases from initial instruction through to conclusion.
• Taking instructions from clients and obtaining relevant information and documentation.
• Preparing correspondence and legal documents.
• Reviewing incoming documentation and assisting with the preparation of case papers.
• Liaising with clients, medical professionals, insurers, solicitors and other third parties.
• Assisting with the preparation and review of medical evidence.
• Monitoring case progress, managing deadlines and maintaining accurate file records.
• Providing updates to clients and ensuring a high standard of client care.
• Undertaking general administrative duties to support the wider team.

The Candidate

• Have previous experience as a Paralegal or Legal Assistant within Personal Injury, Clinical Negligence or another litigation department.
• Have a good understanding of the litigation process.
• Be confident communicating with clients and third parties.
• Have strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Be highly organised with excellent attention to detail.
• Be able to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines.
• Be proactive, reliable and capable of working independently and as part of a team.
• Be committed to providing excellent client care.
