Paraplanner - 12 Month FTC - Semi Remote

Are you an experienced Paraplanner looking for your next challenge in a forward-thinking, client-focused environment? We’re working with a well-established and highly respected financial planning firm in Harpenden, who are seeking a skilled Paraplanner to join their team on an initial 12-month fixed-term contract.

This is an excellent opportunity to become part of a high-performing, Chartered team that provides bespoke financial planning and investment advice to a broad range of clients.

The Role:

As a Paraplanner, you’ll play a key role in supporting Financial Planners in the delivery of tailored advice and high-quality service. You will be involved in:

• Research and technical analysis to support financial strategies and product recommendations
• Preparing suitability reports and detailed financial plans
• Attending client meetings to provide support and follow-up actions
• Conducting cash flow modelling and various financial assessments (e.g., CGT, investment, pension, and risk analysis)
• Liaising with providers and internal teams to ensure smooth client journeys
• Contributing to the ongoing improvement of systems and processes

What You’ll Need:

• Level 4 Diploma in Financial Planning (or working towards)
• Strong understanding of financial planning principles and products
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Strong analytical, numerical, and problem-solving skills
• A team player who can also work independently and manage their own workload
• Experience with financial planning tools (e.g., Intelligent Office, Truth, Financial Express) is desirable

Working Pattern:

• Hybrid working: Initially 2 days per week in the Harpenden office. Once fully up to speed, this will reduce to 2-3 days per month.
• Supportive environment with access to Chartered Financial Planners and continued professional development.

Salary & Contract:

• £45,000 - £55,000, depending on experience
• 12-month fixed-term contract (FTC) with the potential for extension or permanent opportunities
