Location: Colchester (50% Work from Home)

Salary: Up to £50,000

Duration: Full time, Permanent, 4 day condensed work week option

We are working with a forward thinking IFA in Colchester who are looking to bring on an experienced Paraplanner. They pride themselves on being locally owned and 100% independent which they feel means they can always provide the best possible outcomes for clients.

In the role you will work closely with the Financial Advisers to put together complex and bespoke financial plans for clients. You will regularly be involved in client meetings and work with the Admin team to ensure a seamless back office process.

Key duties of the Paraplanner

• Preparing documentation for client review meetings
• Attending and minuting client and prospect meetings
• Production of Suitability Reports for existing clients covering for example, pension draw and contributions, pension transfers, fund switches, bond assignments and surrenders. There is also occasionally a need to recommend protection products.
• Producing full planning reports for new clients. Investment strategy and risk approach is arrived at through the use of our proprietary investment modelling which shows outcomes as real (after inflation) annual spending amounts within a range. Altering the risk approach, changes the range of outcomes.
• Liaising with our Investment Team to communicate changes to client plans which impact on the investment strategy.
• In time, for the right candidate, there is likely to be the opportunity to look after a number of their own clients.
