About the Role

We are working in partnership with a well-established and forward-thinking financial planning practice based in West Yorkshire to recruit a skilled Paraplanner. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a collaborative and client-focused team, supporting Financial Advisers in delivering high-quality, tailored financial advice.

As a Paraplanner, you will play a key role in the advice process by conducting in-depth research, preparing technical reports, and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards. You’ll be instrumental in helping clients achieve their financial goals by providing advisers with the insights and documentation they need to deliver exceptional service.

Key Responsibilities

  • Review and interpret client data to build a comprehensive understanding of their financial position.
  • Identify gaps or inconsistencies in client information that may affect the advice process.
  • Collaborate closely with advisers and internal teams to ensure smooth and effective client journeys.
  • Analyse existing financial arrangements and assess their suitability against client objectives and risk profiles.
  • Conduct market research using a variety of tools and platforms to identify appropriate financial solutions.
  • Utilise financial planning software, including cash flow modelling and cost comparison tools, to support recommendations.
  • Prepare accurate and compliant client-facing documentation, including suitability reports and annual reviews.
  • Request and interpret product quotations and policy information from providers.

What We’re Looking For

  • A strong understanding of the financial planning process and regulatory environment.
  • Ability to work independently within structured processes and meet agreed deadlines.
  • High attention to detail and a methodical approach to problem-solving.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively with colleagues and clients.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and financial planning software.
  • Previous experience in a paraplanning or similar technical support role within financial services.

Desirable Qualifications

  • Diploma in Regulated Financial Planning (Level 4) or working towards it.
  • Degree-level education is advantageous but not essential.
