Job Description - Paraplanner

Location: North East England (Hybrid working available)
Salary: Competitive, dependent on experience
Employment Type: Full-time, Permanent

The Opportunity

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Paraplanner to join a collaborative and progressive team. You’ll play a key role in supporting Financial Advisers by preparing high-quality, compliant reports and recommendations, conducting technical research, and ensuring a seamless client journey.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with advisers and internal teams to prepare suitability reports and financial planning documentation.
  • Conduct research and analysis to support investment and protection recommendations.
  • Ensure all advice complies with FCA regulations and internal compliance standards.
  • Perform complex financial calculations (e.g., CGT, annual allowance).
  • Use financial planning software and tools to model client scenarios and solutions.
  • Liaise with the administration team to ensure accurate and timely processing of client documentation.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry changes and regulatory developments.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of processes and client service delivery.
Skills & Experience Required
  • Previous experience in a Paraplanning role within a financial planning or wealth management environment.
  • Strong understanding of financial products, tax wrappers, and investment solutions.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Confident in producing bespoke advice for complex client scenarios.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and financial planning tools (experience with Curo or Dynamic Planner is advantageous).
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Level 4 Diploma in Financial Planning (or working towards it with support available).
