Paraplanner – Northampton / Wellingborough (Hybrid / Flexible Working)

Salary: Up to £45,000 (DOE)

Location: Wellingborough / Northampton (Hybrid – 2 to 3 days in office)

We are looking for a qualified and experienced Paraplanner to join our small, dynamic financial planning team. This is an exciting opportunity for someone with strong technical knowledge and proven experience in pensions, investments, and protection to provide high-quality support to a Financial Planner.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and maintain client files in line with FCA standards
• Conduct detailed research and analysis to support financial advice
• Prepare suitability reports, technical documentation, and recommendations
• Use financial planning software (Xplan and Defaqto experience essential)
• Support cashflow modelling, investment, and retirement planning work
• Assist with day-to-day operational and compliance tasks

Essential Requirements:

• Proven experience as a Paraplanner (3+ years)
• Strong technical knowledge of pensions, investments, and protection
• Proficient in Xplan and Defaqto (essential)
• Excellent attention to detail, organisational skills, and time management
• Strong written and verbal communication skills

Desirable:

• Experience with Cashcalc or other financial planning tools
• Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team
