Job Role

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Paraplanner to join our financial services team in Aberystwyth. The successful candidate will support a team of 5 financial advisers by preparing reports, analysing client data, and assisting with the development of comprehensive financial plans. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with a strong organisational background and a passion for financial planning to develop their career within a professional environment. Responsibilities


  • Prepare detailed reports and documentation to support financial planning activities.

  • Conduct analysis of client data to assist in developing tailored financial strategies.

  • Assist with the preparation of financial plans, including cash flow analysis, investment strategies, and risk assessments.

  • Maintain accurate client records using Microsoft Office applications such as Word, Excel, and Outlook.

  • Communicate effectively with clients and team members to ensure clarity and understanding of financial recommendations.

  • Organise schedules, appointments, and follow-ups to ensure smooth workflow within the team.

  • Support the compliance process by ensuring all documentation adheres to regulatory standards.

  • Provide exceptional customer service by addressing client queries professionally and efficiently.

Skills and Qualifications


  • Proven organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.

  • Strong report writing and analysis skills within a financial services context.

  • Knowledge of financial planning principles and processes. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and Outlook; familiarity with IT systems is essential.

  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to liaise confidently with clients and colleagues.

  • Previous administrative experience is desirable but not essential; training will be provided where necessary.

  • Ability to demonstrate good time management skills in a fast-paced environment.

  • Customer service experience is advantageous, reflecting a professional approach towards clients.   • Diploma in Financial planning or equivalent qualification.
