Summary

Responsibilities

• Pitch & Putt Operations
  
  
  
  • Operate the kiosk, sell tickets, and process payments.
    
  
  
  • Issue golf equipment and sell refreshments.
    
  
  
  • Re-stock kiosks and provide visitor assistance.
    
  
  

• Pitch & Putt & Crazy Golf Maintenance
  
  
  
  • Open and close facilities daily.
    
  
  
  • Maintain greens and course areas.
    
  
  
  • Operate mowers and manage vegetation.
    
  
  

• Splash Park Operations
  
  
  
  • Conduct safety checks and monitor visitor numbers.
    
  
  
  • Enforce rules and maintain facilities.
    
  
  
  • Perform cleaning and maintenance tasks.
    
  
  

• Park Maintenance & Environmental Duties
  
  
  
  • Assist with litter picking, bin emptying, and vegetation management.
    
  
  
  • Support general grounds maintenance activities.
    
  
  

• Inspections & Safety
  
  
  
  • Assist with safety inspections and report issues.
    
  
  
  • Ensure all facilities are safe for visitors.
    
  
  

• Customer Service & Public Engagement
  
  
  
  • Provide excellent customer service and information.
    
  
  
  • Engage with customers, contractors, and event organisers.
    
  
  

• Events & Community Support
  
  
  
  • Assist with park events and support external organisers.
    
  
  
  • Represent the Local Authority professionally.
    
  
  

Essential

• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
  


• Strong organizational and time-management abilities.
  


• Ability to work independently and use initiative.
  


• Experience handling cash and card transactions.
  


• Basic numeracy skills and outdoor maintenance capability.
  


• Fluent English and ability to travel within the borough.
  

Desirable

• Full UK Driving Licence and DBS Certificate.
  


• Experience in parks, leisure, or environmental services.
  


• Proficiency with ride-on or pedestrian mowers.
  


• Customer-facing experience.
  

Working Environment

• Based in Swindon, working outdoors in all weather conditions.
  


• Regular public interaction with weekend and bank holiday work.
  


• Physical activity and occasional borough-wide travel required.
