Part Qualified Accounts Assistant

• Annual Salary: £30-35k DOE
• Location: East End of Glasgow
• Job Type: Full-time Permanent (Fully Office Based)

We are seeking a part-qualified Accounts Assistant to join our client, a well-respected supplier to the construction trade. This role is ideal for someone who is at the start of their ACCA/CIMA studies and is looking for a clear path to grow within a thriving business. Reporting directly to the Finance Director, this position offers a unique opportunity to potentially lead the accounts function in the future. This is a fully office-based role located in the East End of Glasgow.

Day-to-day of the role:

• Assist in preparing financial statements and monthly management accounts
• Support the Finance Director with budgeting and forecasting
• Oversee and assist with transactional accounting function
• Process invoices and track payments and expenditures
• Take accounts to trial balance
• Ensure compliance with statutory law and financial regulations
• Work closely with the finance team to ensure smooth operation of all finance matters.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Currently part-qualified in ACCA/CIMA actively studying
• Strong foundational knowledge in accounting and finance
• Proficient in MS Office, especially Excel
• Excellent organisational and time-management skills
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
