Part Qualified Management Accountant

The Role

The Management Accountant will take ownership of key financial processes while supporting strategic initiatives. The successful candidate will play a hands-on role in financial reporting, controls, and process development. This role offers variety, autonomy, and the chance to contribute directly to the company’s next phase of growth.

Key Responsibilities:

• Month-end preparation including journals, accruals, and prepayments
• Production of management accounts and financial analysis
• Balance sheet reconciliations and variance reporting
• Supporting VAT returns and compliance activity
• Involvement in transactional finance, including AP, AR, payroll, and general ledger
• Assisting with stock and costing processes (desirable)
• Supporting finance system enhancements, including a planned ERP rollout

Candidate Profile:

• Part-qualified or finalist (ACCA/CIMA)
• Experience in a similar role within an SME or product-based environment
• Strong analytical and systems skills (Sage experience advantageous)
• Commercially aware and comfortable with hands-on responsibilities
• Proactive, adaptable, and confident working in a fast-paced setting
• Previous exposure to stock or manufacturing accounting is a bonus
