Part Qualified Management Accountant

Grafton Banks Finance are delighted to be working exclusively with a growing forward thinking commercial company with offices in the heart of Brighton, East Sussex to recruit an actively studying Part Qualified Management Accountant on a full-time permanent basis. Hybrid working is on offer. Reporting into the Financial Controller the role will be responsible for the completion of the monthly consolidated MI reporting pack for the group, working closely with the Assistant Management Accountant to prepare accurate and timely management accounts with investigation and analysis of numbers to provide insightful commentary for the key stakeholders.

Duties and Responsibilities will include:

• Prepare accurate and timely management accounts including P&L, BS and Cashflow reports
• Maintain balance sheet reconciliations and ensure robust financial controls
• Analyse financial performance and provide insightful commentary
• Assist in budgeting, forecasting and financial planning processes
• Support variance analysis and cost control initiatives including reconciliation of product costs
• Ensure accurate accruals and prepayments are maintained
• Collaborate with operational teams to improve financial performance
• Assist with year-end audit and liaise with external auditors
• Act as main point of contact for financial accounts system
• Improve the month end process and improve the management reporting information prepared by the department

The successful candidate will hold at least 2 years’ experience within a similar Management Accountant role and be actively studying towards an accounting qualification ACCA, CIMA, ACA. You will have excellent communication skills both verbale and written and have good IT skills including experience of working on accounting software packages and be at an intermediate/ Advanced Excel level.
