Location: Harrogate (Hybrid - 3 days on site)
Salary: £30,000 - £35,000 per annum

We’re delighted to be partnering with a growing well established environmental business based in Harrogate to recruit a Technical Accountant into a newly created role. This is a fantastic opportunity for a part-qualified accountant looking to deepen their technical accounting experience within a supportive and forward thinking finance team.

About the Role:

As Technical Accountant, you’ll play a key role in ensuring accurate and compliant financial reporting. This role is ideally suited to someone with previous exposure to statutory accounts preparation and would be a great fit if you’ve had some involvement in consolidations and technical reporting.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support the preparation of statutory accounts in line with relevant reporting standards (e.g. FRS 102 / IFRS)
• Assist with group reporting and consolidation processes
• Prepare technical accounting papers and documentation to support audit requirements
• Liaise with auditors and support year-end processes
• Contribute to the development of financial controls and policies
• Collaborate with finance and non-finance stakeholders to support accurate financial reporting

About You:

• Part-qualified (ACCA / ACA / CIMA) with a strong technical mindset
• Prior experience supporting or preparing statutory accounts
• Exposure to consolidation and group reporting processes is highly desirable
• Strong Excel skills and a good understanding of financial systems
• A proactive and detail-oriented approach with the ability to manage deadlines
