Part Time Telephone Receptionist

SHIFTS AVAILABLE:
SUNDAY 7:30 TO 4:00 **enhanced rate**
ALTERNATE SATURDAYS 7:30 TO 4:00

The purpose of the receptionist is to ensure the efficient and smooth running of the secure hospital reception area. Effective management of hospital security systems, to promote a professional approach to meeting and greeting visitors and ensure inbound calls are answered and directed to the correct department/ individual.
o To effectively manage the secure reception entrance to the hospital.
o To facilitate the administration of day-to-day security requirements, i.e. signing out keys and alarms and auditing of same, testing alarms and pagers etc
o To carry out reception administrative tasks, e.g., o To operate the company's central switchboard effectively and ensure a prompt response to incoming calls, taking accurate messages when required
o To always keep the reception area in a presentable fashion
o Competent PC skills, including MS Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint
o Experience in typing with a high level of accuracy.
o Ability to adopt a flexible working approach
o Ability to follow policies and procedures and to ensure their implementation and compliance with them
o Willingness to undertake training in accordance with assessed needs
o Willingness to adhere to anti-discrimination, health and safety and other statutory policies
