Academics are currently recruiting for a fantastic opportunity for a Year 5 Primary Teacher to work on a part-time supply basis at a welcoming and community-focused primary school in Stoke-on-Trent.

This is an excellent opportunity for an enthusiastic and dedicated primary teacher looking for a one-day-a-week teaching role from January 2027 until the Easter holidays.

The school is a welcoming, inclusive primary setting in the Stoke-on-Trent area, catering for children from Nursery through to Year 6. About the Role

Teaching a Year 5 class.

Working one day per week - every Monday.

Starting January 2027 and continuing until Easter 2027.

Working on a supply basis through Academics.

Planning, preparing and delivering engaging lessons in line with the National Curriculum.

Maintaining a positive and stimulating classroom environment.

Supporting pupils' academic progress and personal development.

The class itself is lovely, with no significant behaviour concerns. This is a great opportunity to join a supportive school and work with a settled group of pupils who are a pleasure to teach.

The Ideal Candidate

We are looking for a teacher who:

Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).

Has experience teaching within Key Stage 2, ideally Year 5.

Is passionate about delivering engaging and creative lessons.

Can build positive relationships with pupils and staff.

Is reliable, adaptable and confident working independently.

Is committed to helping children achieve their best.
