Partnership Tax Advisor

This law firm is seeking a skilled Partnership Tax Advisor to join their dynamic team. In this role, you will provide essential support to the Global Head of Partnership Tax and the Partnership Tax Manager. You will collaborate closely with various departments including Finance, HR, and Risk, as well as client-facing teams.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare UK tax computations and tax returns for UK limited liability partnerships.
• Prepare partners' UK tax returns, including handling joining and leaving partners.
• Liaise with third-party advisers to complete US tax returns for UK partners.
• Manage tax payments for partners and corporate entities.
• Oversee tax matters for the Italian office, including managing partners' tax and Cassa payments.
• Resolve tax and social security issues for globally mobile partners and staff.
• Prepare transfer pricing calculations and documentation as required.
• Support the Tax Team in various projects, including opening new offices, restructuring existing offices, and modelling the impact of changes in law and practice.
• Assist with other projects or tasks as needed.

Skills and Attributes:

• Experience with UK partnership and UK partners tax compliance cycle, including preparation of tax returns.
• Preferably experienced in an in-house role within a professional services partnership.
• Experience working with international firms is a plus.
• Excellent IT skills, particularly in Excel and CCH Personal Tax (or other tax return software).
• Proactive approach with the initiative to solve problems and move projects forward.
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships with partners and colleagues.
• First-class written and verbal communication skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and a methodical, organised approach.
