Type: Full-Time | Reports to: Chief Revenue Officer | Salary: £50,000 - £60,000 | Team: Commercial 


About The Role:


As we continue our exciting expansion, we’re looking for a Partnerships Manager, Sports who has a proven track record of initiating and closing deals.


Reporting into Platform Media’s Chief Revenue Officer, you’ll be responsible for driving revenue across both our network of shows & via social branded entertainment partnerships. This role ensures that Platform Media is consistently delivering revenue across our owned IP and creating innovative, engaging and commercially compelling solutions that align with both brand objectives and the company’s premium storytelling standards.


The core focus for this role will be to proactively sell and lead on responses for a few select sports shows we have on our slate or originals. These include; The Good, The Bad and The Football with Paul Scholes & Nicky Butt, The Good, The Bad and The Beast with Eddie Hall, Scran Away and The Good, Bad, Rugby slate of shows.


Key Responsibilities:


Commercial & New Revenue Streams



  • Work with the Chief Commercial Officer / Chief Revenue Officer to manage the revenue and commercial output of your own slate of shows; The Good, The Bad and The Football and Scran Away including accurately reporting on forecasts, pipeline, and activities related to your targets

  • Responding to inbounds and Response to Briefs from brands and agencies where necessary

  • Leading on football responses that come into the business, identify key growth areas pre-World Cup


Stakeholder & Partner Management



  • Proactively growing relationships with new client contacts within the football and wider sports space, creating long-term strategic partnerships with brands directly – particularly in growth areas for Platform such as gambling

  • Help maximise our coverage across relevant contacts, clients & agency patches and build relationships with any relevant teams within media

  • Owning the sales process and agency/client relationship from brief to execution on anything related to your slate of shows


Commercial Strategy 



  • Help build and lead on the commercial strategy for new sports show launches on the Platform Media slate


Create & Present Proposal Decks



  • Work alongside our Planning, Creative and Editorial teams to lead the creation of high impact sales decks and collateral throughout the Sporting calendar year, leading our proactive outreach strategy in this area

  • Ability to present and pitch proposals to both internal and external stakeholders and clients


What We’re Looking For: 



  • Successful track record in a brand partnerships role

  • Strong analytic, storytelling and problem-solving skills

  • Strong communication and excellent deck making, presenting, and copywriting skills

  • The ability to extract and communicate meaningful insights from multiple sources of data

  • Experience selling content partnerships in sports previously

  • Experience in responding to client RFPs

  • Understand the world of digital and use social channels e.g. YouTube, Instagram, TikTok, X

  • The ability to focus on the detail while also keeping the big picture in mind

  • The ability to devise and implement a plan of action against deadlines, effectively coordinating output across different teams and internal stakeholders in short time frames
