Parts Assistant

Pertemps are delighted to be recruiting on behalf of a well-established and business for a Parts Assistant to join their team based in Birmingham.

This is an excellent opportunity for an organised and proactive individual who has experience working with parts, stock control or inventory management. Working within a busy service department, you will play a key role in ensuring engineers and customers receive the correct parts in a timely manner, helping to keep operations running efficiently.

Key Responsibilities

•    Processing parts orders from engineers, customers and internal departments
•    Identifying and sourcing parts using internal systems and supplier catalogues
•    Managing stock levels and raising purchase orders when required
•    Receiving deliveries and checking goods against purchase orders
•    Picking, packing and dispatching parts accurately
•    Maintaining accurate stock records and updating internal systems
•    Liaising with suppliers to obtain pricing, availability and delivery information
•    Supporting the Service team to ensure customer requirements are met
•    Assisting with stock counts and general stores administration
•    Ensuring the parts department remains organised, safe and efficient

The successful candidate will:

•    Have previous experience in a parts, stores, inventory or stock control position
•    Possess strong administrative and organisational skills
•    Be confident using computer systems and Microsoft Office packages
•    Have excellent attention to detail and accuracy
•    Be able to prioritise workload in a fast-paced environment
•    Demonstrate strong communication and customer service skills
•    Have a positive and team-oriented approach
