Parts Assistant / Driver

We are seeking a dedicated Parts Assistant / Driver to join our client’s busy team based in Sparkford. This role is suited to an experienced motor trade professional with strong driving capabilities and excellent customer service skills. Full training on systems and operational procedures
Monday to Friday working hours; 8AM - 5PM or 9AM - 6PM
Rotational Saturdays (1 in 3) with potential for extra hours

Safely operating company vehicles for local deliveries and collections, ensuring punctual and reliable service
Assisting customers in-store by providing product information and supporting sales efforts
Loading and unloading goods, with adherence to safety protocols, including manual handling as required
Maintaining accurate delivery logs, route documentation, and inventory records
Communicating effectively with team members regarding schedules, customer requirements, and operational issues
Conducting routine vehicle inspections to ensure safety and compliance standards
Supporting warehouse duties such as stock organisation and inventory management
Providing exceptional face-to-face and telephone customer serviceRequirements for the Parts Assistant / Driver role include:

Proven experience as a delivery driver with a clean driving record
Competence in operating commercial vehicles and manual handling tasks
Knowledge of local routes and navigation tools to optimise deliveries
Strong organisational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently
Attention to detail when recording inventory and delivery information
Experience in parts sales, logistics, or warehouse operations is advantageous
Part mechanical knowledge is preferred but not essential
