Parts Sales Advisor

Aka Recruitment are proud to be working with a fantastic, new, local client of ours to bring you this exciting Parts Sales Advisor position based in Wakefield. Working within a busy and thriving environment, you will be joining a forward-thinking and growing family-run business. Working hours are Monday to Friday 8:30am to 5:30pm, along with 1 in 3 Saturdays 8.30am to 2:00pm. Salary basic is dependent on experience and ranges between £32-35k, there is also an uncapped commission available on top. This role is ideally matched to a driven individual who is open to both inbound and outbound calls

Job Duties Include:

• Taking incoming calls and enquiries from garages, workshops, trade customers and retail customers.


• Identifying the correct vehicle parts and components using registration numbers, VINs and parts catalogues.


• Providing accurate pricing, availability and delivery information to customers.


• Processing parts orders through the company’s internal systems.


• Generating quotes and converting enquiries into sales opportunities.


• Building and maintaining strong relationships with local garages and trade customers.


• Proactively contacting customers to identify additional sales opportunities.


• Recommending suitable alternative or aftermarket parts where appropriate.


• Liaising with suppliers and manufacturers to source parts that aren't held in stock.


• Monitoring back orders and keeping customers updated on expected delivery times.


• Coordinating with the warehouse and delivery teams to ensure orders are picked and dispatched correctly.


• Handling returns, credits, warranties and incorrect-part queries.


• Dealing with customer complaints professionally and finding suitable resolutions.


• Following up on quotes and outstanding orders to maximise sales.


• Keeping customer and sales records accurate and up to date.


• Monitoring stock availability and highlighting fast-moving or difficult-to-source products.


• Supporting branch sales targets and working towards individual and team KPIs

Requirements:

• Previous experience as a Parts Advisor or Sales Advisor within the automotive industry.


• Strong knowledge of automotive vehicle parts and components.


• Experience using manufacturer parts catalogues and dealer management systems would be advantageous.


• Excellent organisational skills with strong attention to detail.


• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.


• Confident communication and customer service skills.


• Good IT and administrative skills.


• Full UK Driving Licence preferred.


• Positive attitude with a proactive approach and willingness to support the wider team.
