Key Responsibilities

• Deliver engaging and thought-provoking History lessons from KS3 to KS5, ensuring students develop a deep understanding of historical events, themes, and perspectives.


• Encourage students to develop critical thinking and analytical skills, helping them evaluate sources, construct arguments, and engage in meaningful historical debates.


• Design and implement creative and inclusive lesson plans that cater to students of all abilities and learning styles.


• Play an active role in the school’s extracurricular programme, leading history clubs, organising educational trips, and supporting students in history competitions.


• Foster a positive and intellectually stimulating classroom environment where students feel challenged, inspired, and eager to learn.

Candidate Requirements

• Degree in History or a related field.


• Formal teaching qualification with QTS (e.g., PGCE).


• A passion for historical inquiry and education, with experience teaching KS3-KS5 students.


• Strong communication and classroom management skills.


• Commitment to fostering an engaging and inclusive learning environment.
