Are you an empathetic, resilient, and dedicated Teaching Assistant looking to make a genuine impact in students' lives?

We are currently recruiting Pastoral and Behaviour Teaching Assistants to support pupils with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) within welcoming school environments in the MK42 area. In this role, you will work closely with young people who require extra guidance, emotional support, and structured behavioural interventions to help them succeed academically and socially.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide targeted 1:1 and small-group support to pupils with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs and additional SEND requirements.
Work alongside classroom teachers to manage challenging behaviours and promote positive learning environments.
Implement pastoral support strategies to build students' self-esteem, resilience, and emotional well-being.
Help de-escalate situations and establish strong, trusting relationships with pupils.
Track and report on pupil progress, engagement, and behavioural achievements.
Requirements:

Previous experience supporting children or young adults with SEND, SEMH, or challenging behaviour (school, care, youth work, or PRU settings).
Strong de-escalation skills, patience, and a non-judgmental approach.
Passion for pastoral care and supporting vulnerable learners.
An enhanced DBS check on the Update Service (or willingness to apply for one).

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
