Salary: £26,600 - £30,500 (full-year equivalent, dependent on experience)

Job Description:

We're looking for an experienced Level 3 Behavioural/Pastoral Lead to join a supportive primary school in Blackburn. Starting in September 2025, this is a permanent, full-time role supporting pupils with behavioural, emotional and social needs.

If you're passionate about building strong relationships, helping children manage their emotions, and creating a safe and positive school environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide 1:1 and small group support to pupils with behavioural and emotional needs
• Lead on behaviour strategies and support plans across the school
• Work closely with class teachers, the SENCO, senior leaders and parents/carers
• Monitor and track pupil progress, behaviour incidents, and interventions
• Support the development of whole-school behaviour policies and restorative practices
• Be a visible, calming presence across the school day

Requirements:

• Level 3 qualification in a relevant area (e.g. Teaching Assistant, Childcare, or Behaviour Support)
• Proven experience working with children with behavioural and/or SEMH needs
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Confidence in managing challenging behaviour using de-escalation and positive support strategies
• A calm, consistent and nurturing approach
