• They are looking for an enthusiastic Pastoral Support Assistant to join their team ASAP.
• This is an important role where you will be responsible for facilitating and providing tailored emotional support to students, helping them navigate their feelings, build resilience and develop coping strategies.
• As an Pastoral Support Assistant, you will work closely with teachers, parents and external professionals to create a supportive and safe environment for our students.

Responsibilities as an Pastoral Support Assistant:

• In this role, you will provide one to one and small group support to students who are struggling with ASD and other mental health challenges.
• You will collaborate with teachers and therapists to implement specialised learning plans and interventions.
• You will also maintain a safe and positive learning environment.
• The end goal is to ensure that all students are as independent as possible and have a good foundation for emotional and mental health wellbeing.

Qualities you need to be a good Pastoral Support Assistant:

• Ability to work collaboratively with a team
• Good communication skills
• Patience
• A genuine passion to work with and support students with mental health needs and ASD
