An exciting opportunity has arisen for a talented Pastry Chef de Partie to join the award-winning brigade at one of Bath's most celebrated fine dining restaurants.

Located within a luxury Michelin Key hotel, The Olive Tree Restaurant proudly holds 1 Michelin Star and 4 AA Rosettes, offering an exceptional opportunity to develop your pastry career in one of the South West's finest kitchens.

Working alongside an experienced team, you'll produce beautifully crafted desserts using outstanding seasonal ingredients while continuing to develop within an ambitious and supportive brigade.

The Role

Working within the pastry section, you'll help deliver exceptional desserts and pastry products while maintaining the consistently high standards expected of a Michelin-starred kitchen.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Producing high-quality desserts, pastries and baked goods


• Maintaining exceptional consistency, quality and presentation


• Assisting with seasonal menu development and creative ideas


• Supporting stock control and minimising waste


• Maintaining the highest standards of food safety and hygiene


• Working closely with the wider kitchen brigade during service


• Ensuring the pastry section remains organised, clean and service-ready


• Delivering the exacting standards expected within a Michelin-starred environment

The Package

• £34,259 salary


• Additional gratuities


• 48-hour contract


• Four-day week wherever possible


• Two guaranteed days off each week

The Ideal Candidate

We're looking for someone who has:

• Previous experience as a Pastry Chef de Partie or strong Demi Chef de Partie within a quality fresh-food kitchen


• Experience within 3 AA Rosette, Michelin Guide or Michelin Star environments is highly desirable


• A genuine passion for pastry and exceptional attention to detail


• Strong organisational skills and a calm, professional approach


• Good understanding of food safety and kitchen hygiene


• Excellent communication and the ability to work effectively within a close-knit brigade


• Confidence, or a willingness to develop confidence, when interacting with guests


• A positive attitude and genuine desire to continue learning and developing

Service Pattern

• Dinner: Tuesday–Sunday


• Lunch: Friday–Sunday


• Mondays closed (breakfast and room service only)


• Annual closure of two weeks each year


• One breakfast shift per week (6:45am–3:00pm) when a three-day weekend is not possible
