PAT Tester

We are looking for an experienced PAT Tester/wireperson, the ideal candidate will be responsible for repairing and making various types of cables, mainly audio and power cables, and ensuring all equipment complies with specifications and is fit for purpose.

Hours

Normal working hours are 10am to 6pm within a 5 in 7 pattern including weekends

You will be expected to work some shifts (8am-4pm and 12pm-8pm) and additional hours during busy periods which will be paid as overtime.

• Repairing and making different types of cables, focusing on audio and power cables.
• Conducting inspection, soldering, testing, troubleshooting, and fault finding.
• Performing PAT testing on electrical equipment such as cables, distros, transformers.
• Ensuring all equipment complies with specification and is fit for purpose.
• Maintaining and exceeding targets and efficiency.
• Working well under pressure and adhering to Health & Safety to HSE and company standards.
• De-prepping and testing
• Barcoding and adding new cables to inventory.

• Competent in inspection and testing of electrical equipment.
• PAT tester experience
• Proficient soldering skills.
• City & Guilds 2377 Portable appliance testing qualification or equivalent.
• Good attention to detail.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• A team player with the ability to work independently.
• Ability to thrive under pressure and be available to work extended hours or weekends during busy periods.
