Job description

We currently have an exciting opportunity to join our rapidly expanding patient support team in our Call Centre in Farnham. This role is also available in Southampton.

As a Patient Support Advisor you will be the first line of contact for our patients' optical and hearing enquiries. This will include not only dealing with inbound calls, but also across web chat and email.

This vacancy is a full-time, working on a 2 week rota. Two shift patterns - 8:00am - 16:30pm and 9:30am - 18:00.

Some of the functions of the Patient Support Advisor - Hearing include:

  • Booking appointments for patients across our branch network and that of our sister organisation The Hearing Care Partnership
  • Advising patients of products and services that may be of interest to them
  • Dealing with queries and concerns in a professional and polite manner

Requirements

To be suitable for this position, you must have an excellent telephone manner with an ability to converse and consult with a diverse range of audiences. Strong written communication is also important within this vacancy due to our use of web-chat with patients. Our ideal applicant will have experience within an office setting within a customer services function. To demonstrate an ability to work in a fast paced environment is a must, as this role involves a high volume of calls. While this role does have an element of hybrid working, an ability to regularly travel to the office is needed.
