Job Description - Payroll Administrator

National business
Excellent career opportunity

Role: Payroll Administrator
Salary: up to £30,000
Location: Warrington
Working Structure: Initially Office Based
Contract: Permanent

Key Responsibilities

Process end-to-end payroll in line with deadlines and compliance requirements
Manage employee changes (starters, leavers, pay adjustments)
Maintain accurate records of attendance, sickness, absence, and leave
Conduct payroll audits and resolve data discrepancies
Liaise with internal and external stakeholders (e.g. HMRC, pensions, finance)
Administer statutory deductions and notifications through payroll systems
Handle pension enrolment and compliance (auto and contractual)
Support timely BACS payment processing

What You’ll Need

Solid knowledge of statutory and contractual payroll requirements
Familiarity with Payroll, HR, and Time & Attendance (T&A) systems
Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret and resolve data issues
Competent in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, Word, and Outlook
Payroll qualification at Level 3 (preferred)
Skilled in delivering high-quality customer service and support
