The Opportunity
An established and highly respected independent accountancy and business advisory firm is seeking a Payroll Administrator to join its growing team.

Working as part of a dedicated payroll team, you will be responsible for managing payroll processes accurately and efficiently while providing outstanding client support.

Key Responsibilities
Processing weekly, fortnightly and monthly payrolls for a diverse client portfolio
Administering starters, leavers and payroll amendments
Calculating statutory payments including SSP, SMP, SPP and SAP
Managing pension auto-enrolment processes and submissions
Processing PAYE, National Insurance and other statutory deductions
Preparing and submitting Real Time Information (RTI) returns to HMRC
Liaising directly with clients to resolve payroll queries
Ensuring payroll records remain accurate and compliant with current legislation
Supporting year-end payroll activities, including P60 production
Maintaining confidentiality and handling sensitive employee data appropriately
The Person
We are keen to speak with individuals who have:
Previous payroll administration experience, ideally within an accountancy practice, bureau environment or multi-client setting
Strong understanding of UK payroll legislation and HMRC requirements
Experience using payroll software and Microsoft Office applications
A proactive and positive approach to problem-solving
Desirable
Payroll qualifications (CIPP or equivalent)
Experience with pension auto-enrolment administration
Previous experience working within an accountancy practice
