Payroll & Benefits Specialist

  • Annual Salary: £65,000 - £75,000 per annum (depending on experience)
  • Location: Central London
  • Job Type: Full-Time, Permanent

Reed HR is excited to partner with a leading insurance provider, recognised as a top employer in various prestigious listings, to offer a dynamic opportunity for a Payroll & Benefits Specialist. Based in the Central London office, you will work alongside the HR team to play a crucial in managing and optimising payroll, compensation and benefits processes across the UK and European offices.

Day-to-Day of the Role:

  • Manage and administer payroll processing for offices in the Netherlands, Spain, and the UK.
  • Ensure compliance with statutory obligations and stay updated on legislative changes affecting payroll in the Netherlands, Spain, and the UK.
  • Handle payroll inputs such as joiners, leavers, salary changes, and variable pay adjustments.
  • Collaborate with vendors like ADP Celegro to ensure service level agreements are met.
  • Serve as the first point of contact for employee payroll queries, escalating complex issues as necessary.
  • Support annual salary and bonus review processes in conjunction with the HR and Finance teams.
  • Review and improve payroll processing practices to maintain compliance and efficiency.
  • Assist in the preparation of data related reports and audits.
  • Work with our Talent Acquisition team to support pay benchmarking for a variety of job roles.
  • Manage gender and ethnicity pay gap reporting and other HR compliance-related tasks.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • 3-4 years of experience in payroll processing and benefits administration, preferably including international exposure.
  • Strong familiarity with major payroll systems, ideally ADP Celergo.
  • In-depth knowledge of statutory payroll requirements in the UK, with a broad understanding of European payroll regulations.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel (Pivot tables, VLOOKUPs).
  • Excellent planning, prioritization, and teamwork skills, with the ability to also work independently on projects.
