Payroll & Finance officer

Your new company

This established public organisation is recruiting for an experienced Payroll and Finance officer. You will work full-time in their office location, for 35 hours per week.

Your new role

Within your new role, you will be expected to process the payroll on a timely and accurate basis, ensuring you meet specific deadlines. You will also support with any ad hoc queries regarding the payroll and pensions. Alongside the monthly payroll, you will also support the Finance Manager with Finance reporting and duties, such as month-end, year-end and purchase ledger duties. This role will provide you with clear career development along with exposure to senior finance and payroll duties. What you'll need to succeed

To succeed in this role, you will have ideally worked in a public sector background. You will need to have excellent payroll experience and some form of finance background too, be an initiative lead and be extremely organised. Having worked in a sole standalone role previously is desirable but not essential. Is already working to a senior officer level and can communicate with senior stakeholders.
