• Location: Leatherhead- parking provided near to the office- close to Leatherhead train station
• Full-Time - Permanent
• Salary: £50,000- £55,000
• Working pattern: 37.5 hours per week- Hybrid working available but ideally office based.

Are you a seasoned payroll professional with a sharp eye for detail and a passion for process improvement? This is a fantastic opportunity to lead payroll operations for a well-established organisation, managing payroll for over 1,000 employees and playing a key role in shaping future strategy.

• Lead payroll projects, including policy reviews (e.g. sick pay, overtime, benefits).
• Maintain and improve payroll processes, manuals, and system functionality.
• Ensure compliance with National Minimum Wage legislation.
• Manage timesheet follow-ups and approval workflows.
• Handle payroll queries and escalate complex issues appropriately.
• Build strong relationships across departments to ensure smooth operations.
• Authorise and transmit BACS payments within deadlines.
• Support the HR Operations Leader in delivering the People & Culture strategy.
• Oversee year-end payroll processing and statutory reporting.
• Prepare month-end payroll journals and accruals for Finance.
• Validate statutory payment and deduction reports.
• Manage pension auto-enrolment and contribution submissions.
• Generate and distribute online payslips.

• Proven experience in payroll and pensions management.
• Strong knowledge of payroll legislation and compliance.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Proficiency in payroll systems and reporting tools.
• A proactive mindset with the ability to lead projects and drive improvements.
