Job Description - Payroll and Systems Administrator
Location: Clitheroe, Lancashire Salary: £29,000 - £30,000 FTE Hours: 30 hours per week across 4 days (8:30am - 5:00pm) Contract: Permanent, Full Year (52 Weeks)
Hays Education are working in partnership with an established and well-respected educational organisation in Clitheroe, Lancashire to recruit a Payroll & Systems Administrator. Supporting a workforce of approximately 450 employees across a diverse range of academic and operational functions, this is an excellent opportunity to join a collaborative Human Resources team and play a key role in ensuring accurate payroll and HR systems administration.
Your new role
As Payroll & Systems Administrator, you will play a key role in ensuring employees are paid accurately and on time while supporting the smooth operation of HR systems across the organisation. Working as part of a supportive HR team, you'll be supporting the payroll administration and employee data management, helping to maintain efficient processes and providing excellent support to colleagues across a range of departments.
Your role will involve:
Taking ownership of payroll administration, ensuring all employee information is processed accurately and within key deadlines. Supporting the administration of HR systems and maintaining high-quality employee records. Working closely with colleagues across the organisation to resolve payroll and benefits queries in a professional and timely manner. Helping to ensure compliance through regular data checks, reporting and system audits Building strong working relationships across departments and providing high-quality internal customer service.What you'll need to succeed
We are looking for an organised and detail-oriented administrator who enjoys working with data and delivering an excellent service. You will be confident managing multiple priorities, comfortable working to deadlines and able to handle sensitive information with discretion.
Previous payroll or HR administration experience. Strong attention to detail and a high level of accuracy. Excellent organisational and time-management skills. Good numerical and problem-solving abilities. Strong IT skills, particularly Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications. Excellent communication skills and a professional, approachable manner. The ability to work collaboratively whilst also managing your own workload effectively. A proactive attitude and a commitment to delivering a first-class service. What you'll get in return
