Job Description - Payroll Assistant

Job: Payroll Assistant
Location: Coventry
Hours: Full Time
Salary: Up to £30K

Responsibilities:

Manage end-to-end payroll processing for multiple clients, ensuring completion within set deadlines
Support and respond to ad hoc queries from clients, colleagues, and HMRC
Maintain regular, professional communication with both internal and external clients

The successful applicant will have the following skills and qualities:

A minimum of 5 years’ experience in payroll
Proven experience handling high-volume payrolls and/or working within a payroll bureau environment
Strong understanding of UK PAYE legislation and statutory deductions
Solid knowledge of pensions and auto-enrolment processes
Self-driven, efficient, and dedicated to delivering high-quality work
Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook
Effective communicator with strong interpersonal skills
Confident in building positive working relationships across all levels of the business
