Job Description - Payroll Manager

Payroll Manager
Tunbridge Wells | Full-Time | Office-Based - up to £32,000 DOE

A highly regarded firm of Chartered Accountants in Tunbridge Wells is seeking a Payroll Manager to join their professional and friendly team.

This is a full-time, office-based role offering an excellent opportunity to take ownership of a busy and varied payroll portfolio, supporting a broad client base.

Key Responsibilities:

Managing end-to-end payroll processing for multiple clients
Ensuring compliance with all statutory regulations, including SSP, SMP, pensions, and employee benefits
Liaising with clients on payroll queries and legislative changes
Keeping up to date with HMRC guidelines and payroll best practice
Liasing with the wider accounts and tax team and providing any relevant information required for annual submissions.

Requirements:

Experience working within an accountancy firm is essential
Proven track record of managing payroll from start to finish
Strong understanding of statutory payments, auto-enrolment pensions, and employee benefits
Excellent attention to detail and time management skills
Confident communicator with a client-focused approach
