Payroll Manager

Sunderland | £41,000 – £45,000 | Full-Time | Hybrid (2 days WFH) | 35 Days Holiday + Bank Holidays | 15–18% Pension Scheme

Are you an experienced Payroller, capable of managing teams and experienced in system implantation? IIf so, Reed Accountancy are working with a reputable organisation, urgently seeking a Payroll Manager to join their team in Sunderland.

About the Role:

This is a pivotal role within the organisation, overseeing a team of five and ensuring the smooth delivery of complex payroll operations across multiple sites in the Northeast for almost 1000 employees!

You’ll be responsible for:

• Managing a team of 5
• Leading on full end-to-end payroll processing for monthly PAYE employees
• Supporting the implementation of a new payroll system
• Driving payroll and pensions project management initiatives
• Leading strategic changes to pension schemes, salary sacrifice, and other benefits

What We’re Looking For:

• Proven management experience in a payroll environment
• Strong knowledge of complex payroll processing and compliance
• Experience with system implementation and payroll project delivery
• Strategic understanding of pensions administration and benefits changes
• Excellent communication and leadership skills
• Experienced using iTrent

Interview Process:

• 1-stage face-to-face interview starting ASAP
• Panel style, lasting approx. 90 minutes
