Job Description - Payroll Manager (Hybrid)

Payroll Manager - Permanent- based in Northampton, NN5

Job Purpose:

This role is for an experienced Payroll Manager to oversee payroll operations for six payroll entities across four countries within North Europe, due to expand to five countries within 2025. We are looking for someone who thrives in the fast-paced and varied environment of payroll. The successful candidate will work closely with key stakeholders across the group and external payroll provider. The Payroll Manger will ensure accurate and timely payroll processing, compliance with local regulations and collective agreements, in line with group standard processes.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the end-to-end outsourced payroll processing for payrolls in the UK, Ireland, Sweden, Denmark, and Norway
  • Ensure accurate and timely payroll delivery
  • Maintain compliance in line with local law, contractual terms and conditions, and collective agreements
  • Coordinate and manage outsourced services
  • Collaborate with Group and Local HR to ensure accurate data and reporting
  • Resolve issues promptly and find suitable resolution to prevent recurrence
  • Implement and maintain payroll processes in line with local practice and group standards
  • Stay updated on changes in payroll legislation and best practices
  • Identify opportunities for efficiency and automation
  • Support and develop the payroll team, providing training, setting goals and evaluation of performance

Person Specification:

  • Proficiency in Excel
  • Attention to detail
  • Strong knowledge of payroll regulations across multiple European countries
  • Problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills
  • A desire to continuously develop and provide improvements

Experience:

  • Strong experience with HCM systems

Hours of Work:

  • Monday - Friday

Work Location:

  • Office (Hybrid Available)
