Key Responsibilities:
  • End-to-end payroll processing for a variety of clients (including starters, leavers, adjustments, bonuses, statutory payments, etc.)

  • First point of contact for client queries related to payroll and pensions – via phone and email
  • Manage multiple payroll frequencies (weekly, fortnightly and mainly monthly)
  • Submission of RTI and year-end returns to HMRC
  • Produce payslips, P45s, P60s and other statutory documents
  • Maintain accurate client payroll records and documentation
  • Ensure all payroll tasks are completed in line with internal deadlines and statutory obligations
  • Liaise with HMRC and pension providers where needed
  • Support the management team with internal process improvements and client onboarding

Requirements:

  • Strong understanding of PAYE, NIC, statutory payments and pension auto-enrolment
  • Excellent communication and client service skills
  • High attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple deadlines
  • Confident using payroll software (experience with BrightPay, Xero Payroll, QuickBooks, Moneysoft or similar is advantageous)
  • A recognised payroll qualification (CIPP or equivalent) is desirable but not essential
  • Possibility to support professional development, including financial and study support towards gaining a formal payroll qualification
  • This is a fantastic opportunity for a payroll professional who enjoys variety, working as part of a team, and building great client relationships.
